Adf.ly, Linkbucks, and Adfoc.us; all serve the same purpose: to shorten urls and earn from them. When you click urls shortened by these services, you will first be taken to an ad page; where you wait for 5 seconds before the appearance of the link to the target url. You might come across these links on forums, websites and blogs which use their services to monetize their contents. Although, it generates income for these sites, both the time and data of the visitor are wasted when these these links are clicked.
Fortunatly, there are ways of bypassing these ad pages; no need for waiting again! I'll present before you two methods to do it; make a choice.
METHOD 1
This method involves the use of online services to silently bypass the ad pages.I only know of two websites that offer this service for free.
DeAdf.ly URL
I have been using their service for sometime now and I'm giving testimony that they are reliable. They support links from adf.ly, linkbuck, Adfocus.us, , q.gs, 9.bb, u.bb, and j.js. All you need do is to copy the shortened url and paste it on the text box provided at the website. Hit the the "Deadfly!" button and the page reloades with the target url below the textbox.
I just discovered this recently. It supports adf.ly, linkbuck, and adfoc.us links but not as reliable as DeAdf.ly URL. The website has failed me a couple of times so I can't vouch it.
METHOD 2
This method which makes the use of installed addons and userscripts is strictly restricted to computers.If you use firefox, then install either greasemonkey or scriptish, after which you must install Ads Skipper addon. To install it, click on the install button.
Chrome users should just install AdsFight! while Safari users should first install Ninkakit and then Ads Skipper.
In all, the addons will skip the ad page totally and redirect you automatically to the target url.
